Our Mission

The mission of the EnCORE Academy vocational track is to cultivate the confidence and independence of post-high school students through exposure to and hands-on experience with various vocations.

Our Program
|
Throughout the one-year program, students will become part of a community where they will gain exposure to and experience in various vocational areas. They will receive hands-on job experience through 3-week rotations at different job sites, including trades, food service, retail, animal care, creative arts, health services, and others. EnCORE staff will maintain communication with job sites and provide job coaching to students throughout the process. Moreover, students will acquire independent living skills in self-care, nutrition and cooking, physical wellness, housekeeping, money management, and transportation. EnCORE staff will closely collaborate with students and their families to establish individual goals in these areas.

Gwinnett Tech |
Students have the option to enroll in a college-level course at Gwinnett Tech during the second semester if they are interested in pursuing a vocational certificate or training program. Parents will collaborate with EnCORE staff to determine if and when this path is suitable for the student.
