Our Mission

The mission of the EnCORE Academy college track is to increase access and support for students with diverse learning and social-emotional needs as they transition to college and adulthood.

Our Program

Picture
Throughout the one-year program, students will be part of a learning community where they will enroll as a part-time student at Gwinnett Tech, take up to three college level courses a semester, receive personalized and small group academic support, participate in social activities, and discover how to incorporate academic resources and social skills as they navigate their first year of college. Student goals will be set and evaluated throughout the program in collaboration with parents, staff and participants. Our program is headquartered at CORE Community Farm @ Lakeview.

Gwinnett Tech

We have a partnership with Gwinnett Technical College where EnCORE Academy students take courses asynchronously via Gwinnett Tech’s learning management system. Having students take classes asynchronously allows EnCORE staff to be more hands-on with the learning experience, know exactly what they are learning, and provide real-time feedback.
